Over the past few years, the Crawford Boots “Stomp Out the Stigma” campaign has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. What started as a simple idea – creating visible support for mental health conversations within the mining industry – has evolved into a campaign embraced by workers, distributors, and mine sites right across Australia.
From workshops to crib rooms, offices, sites and even backyards, our campaign flags have proudly flown across the country. More importantly, they’ve helped spark conversations that matter.
Because in mining, we all know someone who has struggled.
And we all know the importance of looking out for our mates.
Throughout previous campaigns, we’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible industry supporters who have helped us raise awareness and funds while backing the message behind the movement.
For 2026, we’re proud to announce that Crawford Boots will once again be running the Stomp Out the Stigma campaign throughout October.
This year, Crawford Boots will donate $5 from every pair of boots sold during the month to Miners’ Promise, a charity providing practical, emotional and financial support to mining families during times of crisis, injury, illness and mental health challenges.
We’re also inviting businesses across the mining industry to join us by matching our donations and becoming part of the campaign.
And of course, the flags are back.
The Stomp Out the Stigma flags have become a powerful symbol across mine sites, a reminder that conversations matter, support matters, and nobody should feel like they have to struggle alone.
As we head into 2026, our goal remains the same: to keep the conversation going, support our industry, and continue building a culture where people feel comfortable speaking up and looking out for one another.
This campaign has always been built by the mining community, for the mining community.
And we’re only just getting started.
